"I love this desk!"
The response to OneLessDesk has been overwhelming. Daily, I receive emails and tweets from people all over the world complimenting my design. Perhaps more importantly, I consistently receive emails from OneLessDesk owners telling me how much they love their desks.
For ten years before launching Heckler Design, I designed not furniture, but software - I was a UX/UI guy. And in those ten years, maybe a handful of customers "loved" my software products. In my spare time, I'd draw designs for a new sofa or table and treat myself by hiring talented, local craftsmen in Phoenix, Arizona to build my designs. I quickly realized I derived infinitely more personal satisfaction from designing tangible objects - designing technology was a distant second place.
OneLessDesk began as another treat for myself. I wanted a desk that would satisfy my ergonomic snobbery, my lust for simplicity, and my desire to have it disappear when not in use. The first OneLessDesk turned out so nice that several people asked me if they could buy one.
Today, they can. And so can you.
I'd like to thank all my customers. I know a few dozen hardworking artisans in Phoenix who greatly appreciate your great taste in design and your thirst for quality craftsmanship. And thanks to everyone else for their kind words and sincere encouragement. As you can imagine, launching a Made-in-USA product company during a recession was not easy. But it's something I had to do and your support has made all the difference.
