Are other colors available?

Currently, OneLessDesks are available in white and silver/grey (looks like aluminum). Future colors will be decided by you. Please complete our color request survey to help select our next standard color. We do offer OneLessDesks in custom colors. Additional charges and turnaround times apply. Please email sales@hecklerdesign.com with your custom color requests.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Howewever, our automated checkout is not yet set up for international orders of the new OneLessDesk. For International orders, please email your country, city, and postal code to sales@hecklerdesign.com. We'll reply with a quote (which will include duties and taxes) and a link to purchase your OneLessDesk.

How shiny is the silver/grey color?

Slightly less reflective than what is shown in the photographs. As the photographs were taken under bright, studio lights, the silver/grey desk shown looks slightly more metalic than it will look under typical home lighting. The color was designed be very similar to the annodized aluminum look of the latest Apple products. Our silver/grey is slightly darker and less reflective than true annodized aluminum. That said, its looks great anywhere.

Will the powdercoat scratch easily?

No. Powder coatings are more scratch resistant than conventional paint. You can expect your OneLessDesk's finish to look great for a long time.

The silver/grey one looks like aluminum. Is it made of aluminum?

No, but that would be cool. OneLessDesk is made of steel with a powdercoat finish. OneLessDesk Limited Edition is made of stainless steel.

Will it scratch my floor?

No. OneLessDesk's feet are made of slick, unpigmented polypropylene - the same material from which furniture sliders are made. Sliding OneLessDesk's deck across concrete, tile, or wood will not produce marks or scratches.

Is assembly required?

Almost none. Just remove OneLessDesk from the box and attach the feet with the supplied tool.

Will it slide on carpet?

Yes.

Is it stable?

OneLessDesk is very stable. OneLessDesk's feet extend forward and aft of both the upper and lower deck to provide ample stability.

Wouldn't a metal desk be cold to the touch?

Yes, at first. Then, the surface under your palms warms to your touch and becomes very comfortable. As steel is a natural heat sink, many people find the surface more comfortable than plastic laminate or wood for those long use sessions.

Will a laser or optical mouse track well directly on the powder-coated finish?

Depends on the color of the desk. In our tests, the mouse tracked perfectly on the silver desk. The white desk may require the use of a mousepad.

Is OneLessDesk available at any retail stores?

Not yet. Currently we are only selling OneLessDesk directly to end customers. Interested retailers should contact sales@hecklerdesign.com.
